iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation

CRC sponsor weekly iRest Yoga Nidra classes (on Zoom)
with Susan Blackwell Tate, Certified iRest® Meditation Teacher

Online series (via Zoom)

Wednesdays from 5:00 - 6:00 pm

Class is approximately 45 min.

What is Yoga Nidra? (a 2 min YouTube audio description)

iRest, short for Integrative Restoration, is a modern-day adaptation of the ancient practice of yoga and meditation. It weaves together eastern philosophy with modern-day psychology and neuroscience to bring a sense of balance and ease to body and mind.

This guided meditation practice helps grow the brain-body connection and strengthen neural pathways that enhance learning and cognitive and emotional regulation and calm the nervous system.

Traditionally it is done lying down, but it can also be done seated and with eyes open or closed. No prior yoga or meditation experience is necessary.

It can be done any time of day, at the end of the day to prepare you for sleep or during the day as a reset and refresh. It is accessible to everyone. All you need to do is show up with a sense of curiosity, let go of efforting, and allow your body and mind to rest.

During iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation your mind will reach a deeply relaxed state between waking and sleeping while remaining conscious. By relaxing so deeply you enter a state of being rather than doing. Nothing to fix or change about who or how you are. You will also connect with your innate sense of wholeness, peace and ease, and your body’s intuitive ability to heal.

We look forward to having you join us.

Yoga and meditation are for everyone. However, it is up to you to assess whether you are ready for the practices you have chosen.
